Hello Lovers of Math!
One of the many things I love about math class is our AWESOME teacher, MRS. REULBACH!!!!! (Applaud please, thank you!) Mrs. R makes us want math everyday by playing music, wearing costumes, smiling, laughing, and most of all, being herself. Mrs. R is fun, crazy, funny, and AWESOME!!!!
Here is my LCM and GCF project! If you don't understand something, comment and let me know!

Fibonacci!!!
In honor of our Fibonacci studies in class, I wanted to do research him and his discovery a little more.
Mr. Fibonacci
1170-1250
Fibonacci was born around 1170 to Guglielmo Bonacci, a wealthy Italian merchant. Guglielmo directed a trading post (by some accounts he was the consul for Pisa) in Bugia a port east of Algiers in the Almohad dynasty's sultanate in North Africa (now Béjaïa, Algeria). As a young boy, Fibonacci traveled with him to help; it was there he learned about the Hindu–Arabic numeral system.
Alternatively, according to Tobias Dantzig, his father was "a lowly shipping clerk nicknamed Bonaccio, which, in the idiom of the period, meant 'simpleton'... hence Fibonacci, the 'son of a simpleton.' ".
Recognizing that arithmetic with Hindu–Arabic numerals is simpler and more efficient than with Roman numerals, Fibonacci travelled throughout the Mediterranean world to study under the leading Arab mathematicians of the time. Leonardo returned from his travels around 1200. In 1202, at the age of 32, he recorded what he had learned in Liber Abaci (Book of Abacus or Book of Calculation), and thereby popularized Hindu–Arabic numerals in Europe.
Fibonacci became an amicable guest of the Emperor Fredrick II, who enjoyed mathematics and science. In 1240 the Republic of Pisa honored Fibonacci, referred to as Leonardo Bigollo, by granting him a salary.
Fibonacci died in Pisa, but the date of his death is unknown, with estimates ranging from 1240 to 1250.

Elmo the Royal Hermit Crab ©
By: Dina Clemente
+
Once upon a time in a land far away, hermit crabs were the king’s and queen’s royal pets. As a matter of fact, hermit crabs were considered royal themselves! Other hermit crabs were jealous of Elmo, because one day, Elmo would be the companion of King Richard, but Elmo didn’t know that. Elmo has a custom shell, this is why Sir Richard chose Elmo when he was just a baby.
Ever since he was little, Elmo knew he was different than the others when they would constantly point and whisper whenever he would walk by his crab-mates. He was so desperate to know what made him different from the others, he had to evaluate this equation, but whenever he tried, they would act all shy and walk away, not saying a word. So he decided that one day he would ask his parents Zoe and Grover. His parents would tell him right? Apparently not. The expressions on their faces looked as if they were learning new terms in school! (Trust me, that’s really hard!) They looked at each other and Grover whispered to Zoe, “Does he know? Should we tell him?” They shook their heads. “Some people are different, there’s nothing wrong about that.” Zoe told me, and they walked away.
Years pass and Elmo thought, thought, thought about it, then he thought some more. Now he finally thinks he knows what’s different about him, he has a custom shell! That must be it! Does a custom shell make you have more power than everyone else? Is this why he has a more beautiful home base than all his crab-mates? Is this why they would point and whisper whenever he walked by? Am I, royal?
“MOM! DAD!” I shouted as I entered my home base. “Yeah Elmo?” mom answered. “Am I going to be King Richard’s companion? His last companion died before I was born, but he had a custom shell, just like me.” “Elmo I-” “Why didn’t you tell me?!” Elmo interrupted. “Grover! Get in here! He knows!” Zoe shouted. “Did you tell him? It was about time!” asked Grover throwing his claws up. “No, I figured it out myself!” Zoe and Grover looked at each other with worried looks in their eyes. “THAT’S SO COOL! I’m royalty! Bow down to me! Make me like all my new terms in school! Substitute my veggies for cookies! Distribute chocolate cake for the family! WOOO HOO!” Zoe and Grover took a deep sigh of relief and they lived happily ever after!
THE END!!

Comment on which is your favorite!
I'm starting to have I feeling no one listens and/or reads this...
If you do, comment the this word: carefully
(I don't know why just do it)
(PLEASE)
I don't get it…. (end of September)
Ahh! I just got that now! (January 22) My personal favorite! ;)
Fail on my part.
Math, deal with your own heartbreaks. I am totally making my pumpkin like this! Pumpkin π!
This is for you Mrs. Reulbach!
2 bananas+ 1 apple+ 15 grapes + 1/2 am melon (doesn't) = 18 1/2 banapplgralons! Everything.
(If you understand anything, leave me a comment and tell me why you want and need to understand that)
Turns out somebody's lying about their knowledge. (Definitely not Woodlawn kids)
Stay in school kids.
Way to state the obvious! Now, if you know your graphs and your barnyard animals,
you should get it (all of you should).
That's very true, I'm not a therapist. So don't come I hope the waiter or waitress knows their tip ($3.14), and went to MS math.
crying to me when you need help with a problem.
They invented calculators for a reason you know!
If you think about it, I don't see how this problem could work out, Is that a compliment?
no matter what order you put the symbols and numbers in to form
an equation. Unless that multiplication sign is sideways and should
really be an addition sign. It would be: 7+1=8
Did you notice he didn't crack the egg before he put it into the bowl? And in the last square when How cool is that? It works even with 987,789!
he's pouring the batter into the pan, there are bits of eggshell in it? Ew.
Tsk tsk red people...
You'll never be looked at (by Mrs. Reulbach) the same way again. I can relate to that.
That's a lot of numbers, but seriously, who would take the time to discover
so many numbers?! Okay, so I found a pirate/πrate who went to math class,
but flunked spelling big time!
FAIL Classic bar jokes...
That is geometrically true, sorry circles! Not exactly the theory I would use…
FAIL Is there even such a thing as Pie á la mean or median?!
Nope… Can you? (2-15-14)
FOUND IT!! (2-23-14) I mustache who came up with this...
She told me to boil half of the potatoes… This is for Angelika AngelF
NAILED IT!
