Term: A term is the number(s) in a problem Ex. 5+3N Term= 5, 3
Variable: A letter that represents an unknown Ex. 6N+3 Variable= N
Constant: The regular numbers in a problem Ex. 6N+3 Constant= 3
Coefficient: The coefficient is the number Ex. 8N+ 4 Coefficient= 8
multiplied with the variable
Algebraic Expression: An algebraic Ex. 6N+5
expression is the problem itself
1) 8V +11 -6T -88=
2)6d+7h-10=
To simplify an algebraic expression simplify the problems with the same variables and simplify the numbers without a variable.
5g-6g+3g+6-4= 2g+2
