How to Share a GDoc

 

Create Your Math Wiki Page

Please remember that math content ONLY is permitted on these pages.  Please do not upload any personal pictures or random pictures and images you find on the internet unless they are math related.  Thank you!

 

If you are getting too many emails, follow the instructions below:

Fix Your Email Notifications - Please change your notifications so you will not get too many emails from our wiki.

There are two ways you can do this.
1.  Go to https://my.pbworks.com/?p=home
2.  UN-check the box that says "Enable Notifications"
OR
1.  Click on your name.

2.  Go down to Preferences / Notify me when my workspace changes

3.  Click on the arrows and choose how often you would like to be notified.

 

How to upload a SAVE a GDOC Chart to your computer: 

PC USERS have different instructions - Click here  PC Help Page

MAC users:

  1. After you create you chart, click on the word CHART in the upper left hand corner of your chart.
  2. Select SAVE IMAGE

 

 

How to upload a file to the Wiki: 

In order to add pictures and images to your page, you will need to upload them to the wiki first.

  1. First make sure that your image has a unique name (image1 or chart1 is an example of a BAD name).
    1. You MUST rename the image before uploading it to the wiki page!!  
    2. Open the picture in Preview
    3. Click File, Save As or File, Export 
    4. Rename the document with a unique name.
    5. Save it.  
  2. Click Images and files on the right-hand side of the page
  3. Click Upload Files
  4. Select the files you want to upload from your computer.  
  5. Select Choose.
  6. Once the upload is complete, your file will be listed in the file box to the right and you can insert it onto your page (instructions below).

 

 

How to Insert a file or image onto the wiki.  

  1. You first have to UPLOAD a file to the wiki before you can insert it onto your page (see instructions above).
  2. Click on Images and Files on the right of the screen
  3. Scroll down until you see the file you would like to insert. 
  4. Click on the file (your image should insert). 

 

How to create a table:

  1.  Click on the word Table at the top
  2. Click on insert table
  3. Make a 3 x 3 table.

 

Inserting files and images into a table.  

  1. You first have to UPLOAD a file to the wiki before you can insert it onto your page.
  2. Click in the first box of your table.
  3. Click on Images and Files on the Right of the screen
  4. Scroll down until you see a file you would like to insert. 
  5. Click on the file (your image should insert).

MAC users:

How to embed your your Google Presentation onto your wiki page.  Can't do this with Powerpoint, only with Google Presentations. :)

    • To Add your GDoc Powerpoint
    • Select File, Publish to the web
    • Start Publishing, OK
    • You will want to change your presentation size to small or it will be HUGE. 
    • COPY the text under "Embed Code"  (Copy is Command+C)
    • Click SOURCE at the top of your wiki page
    • PASTE the code at the bottom on your wiki page.
    • Hit SAVE
